It has been forever (over a year!) since I updated the blog! I am going to do my best to get back to blogging! Here is some new pictures of the 2 year old independent, stubborn, loving, and hilarious little girl that we call Lynden Cole Cearley!

Lynden is the SIXTH generation to love this ranch! Her great-great-great-grandparents homesteaded this land in 1904. We are so blessed.

We have had a crazy few months! Sorry- I have been HORRIBLE about keeping the blogging world up to date. Life has been moving a lot faster than we wish it would. I can't believe that it is the end of July. Where has the summer gone? Lynden Cole is almost 15 months old. I cannot believe that! She is still refusing to walk. She is a stubborn little girl and will walk when SHE (not Mom) is ready. Why would she walk? She is carried most of the time and can crawl everywhere else! We had our first haircut. As you can tell from pictures, we do not have much hair but we did have a set of "wings". So in trying to prevent a total mullet, we had Ashlie trim the wings even with the rest of the hair. (I have pictures on my phone that I am currently trying to get off and my iPhone is not working with me!) Here is a few pictures from all of our adventures lately...

Braylin, Jayden, Becky, and Brittany came to visit us at the ranch for 5 days and this is the only picture that was taken. I guess that means we had a good time!

Carpe Diem

A lot has changed over the last few months. I remember sitting at the Mercentile and Mom telling us, "Do not worry- 2010 was going to be great!" She said the only good thing that happened in 2009 was Miss Lynden Cole blessing us with her presence. Little did she know that 2010 would be worse!

January 4th-Mom finds out that the cancer has spread
January 11th-Poppa gets rushed to San Angelo with pneumonia complications
January 26th-Poppa passed away
February 27th-Mom becomes bedridden
April 25th-Mom passed away

As I have been looking back over the past few years I find myself thankful. (I've learn it is easier to look back that way!) I am thankful that Mom got to see me marry my best friend and one of her favorite people, Mr. Cole Alexander. I am thankful that Mom was there when Lynden was born. She made to Corpus Christi 15 minutes before Lynden arrived. I am thankful God blessed me with opportunity to move back to Sonora for the last few months of her life (and Poppa's). I am SO thankful. I am thankful she gave me three amazing siblings. I am thankful she taught me how love, trust, and believe in our Heavenly Father. I am thankful that I was blessed with one of the best mothers in all of the world. I cannot explain how much I will miss her but I am so thankful for the 25 years that I had. So be thankful for everything. Every moment matters- Carpe Diem

We were blessed to have hundreds of yellow-headed blackbirds migrate through the ranch a few days ago. They were absolutely amazing to watch. When they were flying it looked like they were dancing. They sounded like nothing like birds that are native to our area. They sounded a lot like parrots. When they make noise all together it sounds like a machine. Cole and I thoroughly enjoyed watching them for the few hours that they were around. Here is some pictures that I took and I thought I would share them!

Time for some new pictures! Lynden is turning into a little girl right before our eyes. I love watching her explore and learn about the world around her. She brings everyone such joy and happiness! We call her a "Bling-bling" baby because if you have jewelry on she wants you and she wants to play with it. It doesn't matter big or small! She even plays with my little stud earrings. Ya-Ya has also made her into a little girl who loves ice. She loves to sit in bed with Ya-Ya (Jane) and fake cough so that she will get ice! She expects it now and doesn't understand when she doesn't get any! Here is some pictures over the last few weeks!

A quick Lynden update! Everything is going great. She is FINALLY not swaddled to go to sleep. (It only took a full 8 months!) She loved it but has moved on and in a sleep sack. She now sleeps on her stomach because she will not stay on her back. We had a minor set back in her sleeping habits but back to sleeping great in her own bed for around 12 hours a night. When Poppa was in the hospital and I was gone a lot in the evenings and Daddy just let LC fall asleep in bed with him. When I came in I would just move her to her bed but she was already asleep. She didn't want to start falling asleep in her bed again and we had a few rough nights but it's back to normal. It doesn't take long to get a very spoiled baby!

She is still not crawling and could care less. She will get up on all fours and go no where. Everyone says if she really wants something she will go it but I don't think she will. Who knows? She does have a mouth full of teeth. I think her 7th tooth is currently coming in! She loves any kind of cracker to snack on. Everything goes into her mouth! EVERYTHING! We have just started to work really hard on the sippy cup and it's not going as easy as everything else has. She doesn't like it! I didn't think that she was very attached to the bottle but she obviously is.

She is starting to be more of her own person and less of a little baby. She loves Roxie (the dog), playing with Presley (We are learning to play with soft hands-poor Presley), snacking on "real" food, elephants (Weird!), and being outside. It is so hard to believe that she is almost a year old! Where does the time go?

8 month update

Here is a Lynden update! She is almost 8 months old and she weighs 17 lbs and 3 oz and 27 1/2 inch long. She is the 75% in height. She is eating food much better than taking her bottle. She loves her veggies! Lynden is probably one of the happiest little girls I have ever been around. We get smiles more than other emotion from her. She loves to look at herself in the mirror and just laugh and laugh! Aunt Bee (Beth) has been teaching her "Patty-Cake" and Ya-Ya works on "How much is that doggie?" She is still napping and sleeping great! We now have 5 teeth. (Two on top and three on the bottom.) That's about it. Here is lots of pictures to enjoy...

Thanks Shalayne! Even though haven't been great about the blog lately! I promise to be better. In order to accept this award, I must share 7 things you may or may not about me.

1) I am the fifth generation to grow up and live in Sonora, Texas. My granddad's grandparents homesteaded the land. The ranch that I am currently blessed to be living on has been in our family since 1903. Growing up I swore that I would never come back but now I can't imagine a better place to live. Lynden is the sixth generation!

2) I have the privilege and honor of having 2 babies under 1 year 4 days a week. I am super blessed to get to be a stay-at-home mom and the honor to play with Miss Presley Ann a few days a week while her mom is teaching kids at school. Thank you Shalayne for trusting me with your beautiful baby girl. (And thank you Babywise for teaching me how to schedule babies!)

3) In our first year of marriage, we got pregnant, moved three times, had a baby and walked with my mom through her battle with breast cancer. August 16th- Married in Sonora, Texas. Then I moved to Odessa, Texas where Cole was living. Beginning of October- was shocked to found out that we were 4 weeks pregnant! November 10th- Moved to Corpus Christi, Texas. June 4th- Lynden Cole Cearley was born. July 31st- Moved back to Sonora, Texas. What a year!

4) I am a super organized person. I label everything that I possibly can and make a list every chance I get. It makes life a lot easier on everyone! (So I think anyway!)

5) I am sad to admit that my nervous habit has been the same for years. I hate it but I still bite my nails. I quit for probably 3-4 months after having Lynden and thought it was beat but all of the sudden just started back again.

6)Sonic is one of my favorite places to go. (Only in a small town!) Large Coke please!

7) I am starting a new chapter of my life starting January 26, 2010. My entire life my Poppa has been right by my side. He took me to school every day from kindergarten until I was a freshman in high school. He was there for every sporting event, recital, vacation, even weekly dinners. All the good and bad times, he was there. Poppa went to get things ready in heaven for us and I am going to miss him more than words could explain. Now it's learning to live life without him.

Thanksgiving and Chrismas Update

So, our first Thanksgiving and Christmas has come and gone! It was so much fun but flew by. Lynden loved everything about the holidays! She loved being the center of attention, the bows, the paper, the lights, and especially the toys! I have not been good about updating the blog but things are starting to get back to a normal pace and I should be better! LC is growing like a weed! (That is what her Poppa is always telling her!) She is sitting up and full of energy. She is working on crawling but not going anywhere quite yet. These pictures are from my phone and I have a few more on my camera but don't have it with me! Here is a Lynden update! She is getting so big! She weighs almost 16 pounds! 15 lbs 13 ounces was a few days ago! She now has two teeth and eating all kinds of good fruits and veggies! She spent her first weekend away from Mom and Dad! She stayed with her Ya-Ya for Daddy's birthday while we went to Dallas for the races with Nonnie and Pop! It was not easy but we made it and I only cried once! She is too much fun and such a huge blessing in our lives! These pictures were taken by Kelly Kearney of KMK Photograph -some of her in her camouflage outfit and boots from Pops! (With a big pink bow of course!), some of her just having fun with "Lambie" (The stuffed animal we don't leave home without!), and finally-her in her Skunk outfit from Halloween!

Everything is going great here! Lynden is growing like a weed and is more and more fun everyday! She has started to laugh and play so much more than she was! From the time we knew Little Miss was a girl- I knew she was going to be a Daddy's girl. Cole and Lynden have so much fun at night! Here is a few pictures from their adventures!

This was our very first attempt at rice cereal! She is much better now!

We had to go do a deer census at the ranch and Lynden had to come along for the ride. It was one of the first cold nights this fall and we wanted something to cover her ears! All we had at the time was a newborn little hat- we tried to make it fit! This is what she looked like when we got home!

Well, I realized that I didn't do much updating on Lynden just pictures and what we have been doing. At 3 1/2 months Miss Lynden is 13 lbs 6 oz and 25 inch long! She is such a great baby! She has been sleeping through the night since she was about 9 weeks and now sleeping even better! She is sleeping from about 8:30 PM - 8 AM! It is so great! She spoils me! Everyone tells me how lucky I am! I am very thankful to Babywise- it has such great schedule! And I LOVE schedules! One thing- the child still loves being swaddled! Everytime she sleeps she is swaddled! Cole jokes and says we are going to be swaddling her for her first day of school! But she loves it! Eventually we will work on the one arm out and etc! But she loves it and we love whatever makes her happy! GUNS UP! Wreck Em Tech! And enjoy your weekend!

3 month update!

Hello Everyone! I know it has been a while since an update! Just not as easy as it use to be to blog! We have had a very busy few weeks! We had a "Girls Trip" to the Devil's River. Which was so much fun! (Thank you Shalayne!) Kaelyn and Lynden were so cute together. I have posted a few pictures of them. Poor Kaelyn, she is so ready for Lynden to play back! She just isn't too much fun yet. (Next time we go there will be 3 little girls!) Then our friends Brittany and Jarrett brought their 2 kids down for the weekend. Lynden and Jayden are only 13 days apart! Braylin is 2 and SO much fun! Full of energy! Then Cole's grandparents from California came to Texas for a week! I have a few pictures of all our events! Lynden has gotten SO big! I put a picture of her in her carseat from today and from when we took her home. In 3 short months- she has grown SO much! She is so much fun! I am going to try and take more pictures this week!

We have had a very busy few weeks! First was Sutton County Days- Lynden went to her first parade! Here is a few pictures before and during the parade! (She slept through most of it...even with the loud fire truck!)

She is SUCH a happy little girl! It melts my heart when she smiles! Here is a few pictures of us playing at Ya-Ya's house! (She looks like a Tech cheerleader because of how she has her arms! Who knows? Maybe she will be!)

A crazy year!

I can't believe it is already the middle of August! Time flies when you are having fun! This weekend is our one year anniversary! It is crazy to think about what all has happened in a year. We got married in August, pregnant in September, found out we were pregnant in October, moved to Corpus Christi in November, had Lynden in June, and moved to Sonora in July. CRAZY! I am unbelievably blessed with an amazing husband and daughter! One year down and a lifetime to go! A lot has changed with Lynden- she is sleeping through the night! (Yah!!) She is sleeping in her own room! She is even more fun to play with because she is smiling all the time! She is such a great joy in all of our lives!

Well, it has been a while since my last blog! I am very sorry! We do not have internet out at the ranch and I have to come to town to update the blog! I will do my best to do better! I have lots of new pictures today! We all love Sonora. Lynden loves the being surrounded by so many wonderful people who love her! She has had so many new "first" since moving to Sonora. She went to the golf course for the first of MANY golf tournaments to come! She went to church for the first time with her Ya-Ya. She went on her first grocery run to San Angelo! She also went swimming for the first time at her Lolo and Papool's house. I don't have pictures for all of them but some! Enjoying being outside at the ranch!

She was completely exhausted after swimming!Life has changed quite a bit since moving to Sonora! We went from living at the beach to finding "friends" like these in the yard!

We also got Lynden some kittens to grow up with her (and to help keep snakes away)! They are the very same age! Lynden, Elwanda, and Elvira (the kittens) are all now 8 weeks old! Here is some pictures of the kittens! We don't even know if they are girls or boys yet but their names are here to stay! Elwanda is the orange one and loves people! Elvira does not get to close- so in every picture she is the black cat in the background.

Well, we offically live in Sonora. We are moved in! Things are crazy but we are moved in! Lynden is loving all the attention and we are trying to get adjusted! I haven't taken any pictures but Kelly Kearney was here this weekend and took a few snapshots this morning before she left while Lynden was playing! She is such a happy baby- (especially when she is swaddled!)

She was smiling and having fun- then we told her, "Lynden- say CHEESE!" This is what we got!

Moving!

We have big news! We are moving back to Sonora. Growing up I always said that I would NEVER move back. But never say never, right? Well, I am eating my words and we are moving home! Cole and I both want Lynden to be raised surrounded by family and great friends. After lots of prayer and thought- we decided that was best for us. Cole's last day of work here is July 31st and then we are headed back to West Texas. Everyone is very excited and we can't wait to call Sonora home once again. Lynden is almost 6 weeks old! She growing like a weed! Finally starting to fit into some of her outfits! Here are some new pictures! ENJOY!

Well, Lynden is almost 5 weeks old! I can't believe how fast time flies! She is getting so big. Here is a bunch of new pictures I have taken over the last few weeks! She now weighs 9 lbs 7 oz!

Sonora Trip

We made our first trip to Sonora this weekend. It was too quick! We had so many people to meet and not enough time to do it in! Lynden did really good in car considering it was about 6 hours in the car seat. Here are some of the pictures from the weekend.

Father's Day Pictures

Well, our first Father's Day has come and gone! Lynden doesn't know yet how blessed she is! She was wrapped around his finger from the very first second! Our Father's Day was spent relaxing around the house! It was very nice! Cole's present this year was a big picture of his little girl! I went and got Lynden's pictures made while he was at work and had one framed! (The black and white one!) You can't go wrong with a present like that! The pictures were taken by Picture Playhouse. Lynden was 2 weeks old in these pictures!

Well, Lynden is 2 weeks (and one day) old! Wow! We had our two week check up yesterday and everything went great. She is now 7 lbs 12 oz and 20 inches long. We have been working hard on getting down a routine and she seems to have it! (Which is very exciting for me!) She is sleeping longer and longer through the night. We also went the other night for our first visit with our friend Prax Morgan. He is about 3 months older than Lynden and makes her look like a little itty-bitty baby. Here is some pictures from the past week and the new friends, Prax and Lynden.

She just loves to smile! Yes, I know it is probably gas! We are all still trying to figure out who she looks like. Most of the time, we all agree that she looks like me! There are a lot of times that Aubany and I see a lot of Hillary in her (especially in pictures!). And of course, some of the faces she makes are just like her daddy! We will just have to wait and see.

Just as a side note-I know that she has tons of photos in the polka-dot outfit. The child has TONS and TONS of clothes which she is not quite big enough to fit into yet! S0, we seem to be wearing the same ones over and over for the time being!

Well, we are ONE WEEK old (and a day)! It is so hard to believe! She is such a great baby! We are so blessed. She such a great sleeper. She only wakes up at night to eat and goes right back to sleep. How thankful are we! Nonnie and Pop (Rick and Maray) came to see us last night. We got to eat dinner with them and friends before they had to go to McAllen for the weekend. Dar-Dar and Wheeless are coming this weekend to meet Miss Lynden for the first time. Everyone is very excited. We have had an exciting first week. Here are some new pictures!

Doctor and Pictures

We are back from the doctor! Everything went great. She now weighs 6 lbs 14.5 oz, which is fine. She should be back to her birth weight by her 2 week check up. We are still doing our VERY best to tackle breast feeding. She is a very stubborn little girl (like her daddy!) but we are still trying! Our Ya Ya and Uncle Straton are going home tomorrow and we don't quite know how we are going to manage without them. Not to mention, Daddy is going back to work. Here is a few more pictures...

Well, she is finally here! Miss Lynden Cole Cearley was born June 4, 2009 at 11:44 am. She was 7 lbs. 2 oz. and 19 1/2 inches long.

She is a complete and total joy in all of our lives. You can tell that she is the first grandbaby on both sides! She has been flooded with wonderful gifts and kisses! As you all know, I am very busy with new little one but I am going to do my best to keep the blog updated with pictures!
